Steel Bridge Music Festival And More

6/18/2007

I just got back from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin where I spent a week writing songs with other songwriters then doing a big benefit music festival to raise money to save their beautiful old bridge there. I had the BEST time! I'm posting on my Myspace page the three songs I wrote and recorded (in three days!!) so you can hear what I was doing up there. www.myspace.com/wiedlinjane If they sound a bit different than my usual Go-Go's stuff, it's because I was co-writing with different people each day. Shout out to all the great musicians and songwriters I hung out with, you guys all RULE!!!
Hope you enjoy the tunes!

In other news, I'm FINALLY moving into my downtown loft this weekend after many long months of remodeling/construction. It looks amazing and the space-age theme turned out truly out-of-this-world! (Yes, I AM a geek!)

I went to a comic con in San Jose, CA and made friends w Bill Morrison, one of the artist/writers of The Simpsons. He and I have decided to collaborate on a comic book about MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! He also created an original art piece of me as a Simpsons character, rocking out with Homer. WAY COOL!

I attended the Star Wars Celebration IV, I had a blast and so did everyone who attended. I was given super-sweet VIP passes so I got to cut lines. Woohoo!
Thanks Bonnie Burton of starwars.com for the hookup!

Don't forget, always use your powers for GOOD not EVIL.

Goodbye Orbit!

2/7/2007

Goodbye Orbit!
Not such an exciting or happy post, but I wanted everyone to know that my sweet dog Orbit, just nine years young, passed away on Saturday, February 3. She wasn't so much what you'd call a good dog, more like what you'd call a dog with a LOT of personality, with opinions about everything from who she loved (or who she loved to BITE) to what she loved to eat, to what instructions she'd agree to obey.
I know I make her sound like she was a BAD SEED (please go rent movie if you don't understand reference) but she was actually a very very loving and obedient dog, she just wasn't a pushover like a lab or something.
Anyway, she developed lymphoma and the vet gave her four weeks to live, and instead she lasted four months.
Now, I don't know if I believe in Heaven, but for sure I believe in Doggy Heaven, since I'm convinced dogs are our Spiritual Superiors. So, even though my crazy little baby girl is gone, I'm happy to know that she is happy up there somewhere, and everytime I look at the sky, I have a ridiculous image of Orbit flying around with big white wings, so detailed and realistic, that I can't help but crack up every time I look upward.
Here's a toast to all our wonderful animal friends, and a prayer that HUMANS can learn to act more like DOGS...because we'd clearly be much more civilized.
xoxo

So Very Very Embarrassed

12/12/2006

5 long months since an update... Yikes, I've gotta lot of catching up and 'splainin' to do!
Well, to explain...I've been pretty depressed for ages because of my mom being so ill, and then my dog Roy dying, then my dear friend Keats dying, and now, to top it off, my dog Orbit, who is only seven years old, has been diagnosed w lymphoma and has been given just weeks to live. I have taken this all rather hard, and have been very unsocial and unproductive. I know people everywhere go through terrible trials all the time in their lives, i don't think my troubles are more special, but I've had a hard time dealing. So I apologize for disappearing, and hope you will understand that I'm just a regular person trying to survive in this crazy world. Having said that, thank GODDESS 2006 is about over, because surely 2007 will be better!

The nicest thing that's happened in the last five months is that I adopted a wonderful greyhound, from a volunteer group who rescues them off the track. I named him Geordie and he is such a dear! VH1 was doing a program on celebrity pets so I got to promote the Greyhound Adoption Center on TV. Check them out at greyhoundadoptioncenter.com

I also did another VH1 show called Greatest Songs of the Eighties. Our Lips Are Sealed was chosen as one of the songs, very flattering!
Some of you out there may have seen either show?

In September I got to be Mistress of Ceremonies at a big show at the Hollywood Bowl featuring 80's groups Human League, Psych Furs & ABC. That was a super fun night and is the second time I was chosen to MC at the Bowl. I love that place, we are so lucky to have it in our fair city of Los Angeles!

In October I attended the charity event Bowling for Boobies, which raises money for local women battling breast cancer who need help paying their medical bills. This is something i've done for a few years now since it was initially started to help my friend Edith Speed. It was such a silly fun night, and I named my bowling team Jane's Knockers! (classy, I know!)

The Go-Go's finally finished negotiating w Disney for the Po-Go's project. Basically, we are creating a "second generation of Go-Go's" called the Po-Go's, who will perform our hits and also new songs we write for them. In October we held auditions to choose the girls, who are between 13 and 16 years old. Now we are waiting for the next go-ahead from Disney to move forward again. It was exciting participating in the auditions and meeting so many talented young girl musicians!

I attended lots of doggy charity events in the last few months and have been donating a lot of time and even money too to various animal groups. This holiday season, instead of getting my friends gifts, I donated money in their names to a great group called Animal Avengers. You can learn more about them at animalavengers.com They are super cool!

In November I had a fun time doing a "podcast" with Donita Sparks (formerly of L7) for her program at firedoglake.com She is a good friend and a talented writer and artist.

And i think those are the highlights of the past many months!

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season filled with love and good times!
Jane

My Streamline Moderne Lifestyle

7/20/2006

Finally, the Go-Go's are done touring for the year, with just 2 more shows scheduled in September. I was really starting to feel it, with my bad arm (tendonitis) and so much happening at home in my personal life. i've always loved touring but now I just want to be at home with my doggies and friends and family for a long long while.

My arm is just destroyed. Playing guitar has really messed things up, and now I can't even lift a coffee cup. It's ridiculous. i don't know if the nerve damage is permanent, but i've been getting accuncture and chiropractic and massages to lessen the pain. Yuck. Good thing i've got two arms or I would be fully screwed!

Peanut and Orbit are so happy to have me back. They don't know it yet, but we have a new addition to our happy home coming soon. i'm going to adopt a rescued racing greyhound. It's something I've been wanting to do for years, and now that Roy has been gone a while (my good big dog who passed away in Feb.) I'm ready for another large dog in my life. Did you know they kill 16000 racing greyhounds a year in America alone?? They are basically treated like livestock for the year or two they run, then they just kill 'em. It makes me feel sick to think about it. If you are interested, visit adoptastar.org and learn more about it. It's such a beautiful site, not depressing, with loads of photos of gorgeous greyhounds. I am very excited about getting my new dog, and as soon as I get back from my VACATION IN MEXICO, I'll be adopting!!!!

Yup, I'm going to Mexico for three whole days. i don't vacation much because I feel too guilty leaving home for something as trivial as pleasure, but I got invited to a sweet spa/resort in Cabo and I couldn't pass it up! i'm thinking, long days on the beach, massages and margaritas. For three days anyway! Yeehaw!

One of my best and dearest friends passed away on June 24, while I was on tour. Some of you may even know him, his name was Keats and he used to help me w my Ebay stuff. He was such an amazing unique person, and it has been really really hard losing someone I loved so much. I was pretty devastated that I couldn't go to his funeral. We were in Green Bay Wisconsin that day and I obviously couldn't cancel the show to go home for the service. I never really understood the big deal about funerals until now. Now I see it is a way to pay tribute to your loved one, and to be surrounded by other people who loved the person too. I've made a shrine to him in my house and he is on my mind all the time and since I got home I was able to get together with my friends and spend time talking about Keats and about our feelings.

My fabulous gorgeous niece Gena graduated from college at Santa Cruz and the whole family went there for the event and a big party. Luckily I had a short break from the tour and was able to get up there. I still remember when she was a toddler and it's so weird to see her all grown up so quickly! Her brother Danny (my nephew) also has super exciting news. He just joined a band (he's a very good young drummer) called The Hills, and they got a record deal!! Isn't that the coolest? i'm so proud of them both.

Playing in the midwest was nice for me since that's where I'm from. i still have loads of relatives there and my cousin Mark came to Summerfest in Milwaukee with his kids. It was totally fun seeing them and I think his kids got a kick out of seeing "eighties music" live!

There was a crazy-big article about the Go-Go's in the Los Angeles Times last week. How amazing is it that there is still so much interest in us after all this time???

I think I told you I'm working at making my house a historical monument...No, NOT because a Go-Go lives here (doh!) but because it is a rare and beautiful example of the 1930's streamline moderne style. Well, I completely forgot that today was my inspection day, and I was sitting around the house in a big ole' tee shirt and looking like a mess when a committee of ten showed up for the inspection! Whoops!! Boy was my face red! But at least Orbit didn't bite anyone. haha

Coincidentally, I had a portrait of the house commissioned which arrived today, and now i am one of those fancy people with a painting of their own house!!!!! Yikes, who knew??

I think the Po-Go's project should be starting any minute now, now that the tour is done.

I'm sooo enjoying being home and getting caught up on my favorite TV shows. I am totally addicted to Project Runway. How cool is it that Season Three has started?? I'm also into Rockstar: Supernova. I hope they end up choosing a chick singer, that would be the best!

I'd like to thank all the fans that came out for the Go-Go's shows this year. You guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I think that's about all the news that's fit to print.
Love,
jane

The Birthday Biatch

6/8/2006

Yikes, I just realized it's been almost two months since an entry in this diary! Just the usual excuse of being busy!!!
I went down to Panama at the end of April and closed the sale of my property there. Man, that was hard, because it's easy to forget how beautiful that area is till you're right there. There were definitely some tears shed, but sometimes you've just gotta move on. I hope the new owners will be happy there and enjoy owning such a big hunk of paradise!
When I got back to LA I was inspired to do more "nesting" here, so I went out and got all new stuff for my bedroom, which I'm sure sounds boring but was super exciting for me. Now my room looks so pretty and everything more or less matches, in shades of green and aqua. I'm going to have the room painted lavendar pretty soon and then it will be totally done. I've been training Peanut & Orbit to stay away from me in bed. All winter when I went to sleep, each dog would plaster herself against me for the night, which is all well and good when it's cold out, but now that it's nearly summer, it's like having hot water bottles in bed with you! Horrible! So the new thing is I make them their own cozy bed at one end and wrap them up all snug in a (faux) fur spread and make them stay there instead of weaseling their way back under my covers. Orbit has been an angel, but it is a fight every night with Peanut. I usually have to put her back about 4 times, but she is getting better. I just can't give in to her, she's way more persistent than I would (normally) be! I started watching the Dog Whisperer on TV and now I'm all motivated to get my girls to mind me more! I'm just like all those people on the show that insist on treating their dogs like their children. So wish me luck, maybe some day I'll have dogs that aren't just cute, but GOOD too!
I've been doing shows with a new band called Sid Brown. They are friends of mine and Sid and I started writing songs together, so when he asked if I would perform with them I decided it would be fun, and it has been! We have written several cool tunes together so I hope they make a record so everyone can hear them.
The Go-Go's did another leg of the 2006 tour and I have to say, it was the hardest one we've done in ages. There was no time off at all, even on supposed "days off" we were traveling, so I never really had time to catch my breath. We had a bunch of new guys on our crew, which was really stressful as they don't know what you want because they don't know you. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get and keep good crew people because unlike most bands, we only work a few weeks a year, so we are always losing people to bands that work more. You can't fault people for that, but it is really frustrating. I feel like we did really good shows this time, despite the fact that I felt "out of sorts" the whole time. I should say that about half our crew have been with us for years, and we love and appreciate them!
We performed on the Today Show and I was a brat when Katie "I make $50 million" Couric mispronounced my name. I'm sorry, but I'd be thrilled to do her job for a TENTH what she makes, and I promise I would check the guests' names before showtime. I'm sure I sound like a princess, but if you're gonna tell me to get up at 5:00 AM and play in the rain, and risk getting electrocuted, at least know what my name is! blah blah blah Poor me! Okay, no more complaining!
The real highlight of the tour was doing a show at the Kennedy Compound on Cape Cod. It was for a charity called Best Buddies, which benefits "intellectually challenged" kids. It was a blast, and I felt honored to be at the Kennedy's home. Talk about gorgeous! Wow! That was on my birthday.
The following weekend we were back on the West Coast and I had a big birthday party at my house. A LOT of champagne was consumed, and the party was still raging at 4:00 AM when I kicked everyone out. What a night!

I did a little acoustic performance for the record-release party of a new CD called "EIGHTIES HITS STRIPPED". I was fortunate enough to get on that record with "Our Lips Are Sealed" (I had an acoustic version of the song already recorded when they called at the eleventh hour asking for it.) It was fun listening to the other artists doing their hits stripped down. Martha Davis (The Motels) sounds better than ever and is such a lovely person. Did you know the Go-Go's and the Motels shared a rehearsal room in 1978?
Colin Hay (Men At Work) was especially good because he's such a clever guy, everyone was cracking up the whole time he played. His wife got up and played "air flute" on "Land Down Under". Genius!
You'll be pleased to know I finally replaced my stolen computer. I've been dumping photos, email addresses and songs into this new one for a week. I hope to start working in Garageband (the Apple program for recording demos) as soon as I catch my breath and get my nerve up.
Meanwhile, the Go-Go's are meeting with Disney tomorrow to discuss launching the Po-Go's project!! Woo hoo!!
Thanks to everyone who sent me birthday presents and cards, you are all too kind!
Bye for now,
Jane

Happy Easter, bunnies!

4/16/2006

Hi Everyone,
Thanks to all the people who have been so active on my site! I am happy that you post a lot on the message board, and that everyone is being kind to each other. It means a lot to me.
Since last I wrote I've mostly been on tour with the Go-Go's, here are some highlights on that and other tidbits.
I went to see GOLDFRAPPE at the Wiltern. I really like them a lot, even though the new album is pretty derivative (at least they're ripping off songs that I love!). She's got some great songs and a good voice. They had cute gogo dancers that dressed up like robots and stuff, it was cool.
The Go-Go's did a fundraising party for Mohammed Ali's charity, which aids neurological disorders. It was really high roller, people paid a fortune to be there. We were the last act, a big surprise finale. There were lots of celebs there, i loved meeting Robin Williams, he is so cute and nice and (obviously ) funny. Garth Brooks said he'd donate $250,000 if his wife Trisha Yearwood would sing (wow!). People were offering like $300,000 to go to Reba MacIntyre's house and have her cook breakfast for them. Where are all these people getting all this money, and please can I have some??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go's did a photo session with my friend B.J. Pappas. She's the one who took my pinup pictures last year. We got some great shots, so finally you will be seeing some new band photos after six years! The great new designer Louis Verdad lent us some stuff to wear and we each got to keep one thing. That was super cool. He is so talented. I also got to wear a bunch of my friend Jen Johnson's new season. She's the designer for E.C. Star and her clothes are sooooooo great!! Also wore my new "Make Love Not War" sweater that Sophia Swire gave me. I love clothes!!!
The band tour was mostly in the south and we got a good reaction everywhere we played. New Orleans was a little worrying, I didn't know what it would be like but the crowd were amazing. So enthusiastic. That whole mess down there still makes me feel sick inside, and knowing all the people and pets that died and how much was destroyed and how many lives ruined makes me crazy knowing that we are dumping all our tax money overseas into a country that hates us when here at home New Orleans is having to beg for loans from foreign governments to try and re-build. I don't know what has happened to our country, but it is a sorry state of affairs.
We ended up having to cancel one date in Fort Lauderdale because Belinda had throat problems. That was sad, but supposedly we will be making it up in a few months. During the tour I had two days off so went up to New York to attend the Big Apple Comic Con. I had such a good time and met so many cool artists and fans and others. i got to go to a special dinner for George Romero, the legendary director, and that was such a treat! Maybe i can be in his next film!
Last week my house got burglarized, which I am still bumming about. They took my beloved laptop (among other things) which had approx. 20 new songs written and demoed. I didn't do back- ups cuz i was waiting for things to be totally done. i lost six months of hard work when they stole that and i'm still in shock over it. Also, thousands of photos, thousands of saved emails I needed and so on.
Then a few days ago, one of my very best friends found out he is extremely ill, so I've basically been hanging out at the hospital every day trying to cheer him up and be helpful and stuff.
I am going to Panama next weekend to try and wrap up the sale of my land down there. And when I get back it will be time for the band to rehearse for the next leg of the tour. This is turning into a really busy year.
Lots of love,
Jane

Awards Show Madness

3/11/2006

I've got a lot of catching up to do!
Let's see...I did the Grammy Radio Tour. You go down to the site of the Grammies the day before, and a couple hundred radio stations have set up remote units and you do little interviews with the ones that are interested in you.
Usually artists do it when they have something to promote. I told them about the Go-Go's touring in Spring. A lot of them were like "Oh! A Reunion Tour!" I got tired of saying we've been back together since 1990, so i would just smile. Of course, the main things people want to talk about are ridiculous...Verne Troyer peeing on the carpet was a biggie. This one guy just wanted to talk about cocaine. "What was it like doing cocaine in the 80's? Where did you get it? Did you do a lot? blah blah blah" I swear it was 15 minutes of this. i couldn't believe it! I was losing my mind. And of course talking about Duh Brat. Again, I'm so over it!! I DON'T CARE ANYMORE PEOPLE!!! I swear! The cool part was that U2 were rehearsing for the show and it sounded great. i never was much of a fan but I've gotten a lot more into them lately. i'm very impressed that they are still making such good music 2 billion years later! And that drummer is a hottie!
I had dinner with Steve Balderson, the director of the movie FIRECRACKER that I was in. He's gearing up to do a new movie called WILBERT BRUMMETT, a black comedy, and he wants me to be in it!! Hooray!! I read the script and it is really funny and smart. i'm looking forward to going back to Wamego Kansas to shoot. That's where Steve lives and where he makes all his movies.
My amazing house has been nominated to become a cultural monument, so I have been working on that, doing photo shoots, and researching the place. I am going to try and get on one of those celebrity homes shows so I can show it off. I'll let you know if that happens. I heard I LOVE TOYS aired and I wasn't even on it. grrr Oh well, maybe I'm not as funny as I think I am??????????????????

I did an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine. i guess they are doing an issue of their best covers and the Go-Go's underwear shot is going to be in it. That's a big honor, considering how many amazing covers they have produced.
I went and saw Kathy Griffin perform live, she was great. Some of the friends I went with were actually mentioned in her show so that was all exciting!!
I've been taking belly dancing classes just for something to do. My dear old friend Pleasant is the teacher and most of the class is spent gossiping! It's weird sticking your gut out and jiggling it around, takes a lot of getting used to after a lifetime of sucking it in, but it is pretty fun and silly.
My mom is on some new meds and is feeling a little better which is awesome news.
Unfortunately, my sweet dog Roy passed away on Feb. 13. He took a bad turn for the worse and was in a lot of pain. I had him cremated and now he is sitting on my coffee table. Everytime i pass it I say "Hi Roy boy!" and it makes me feel like he's sort of still here, but it's also making it hard to stop missing him. i've been blue all month and can't seem to shake it. I guess sooner or later I will. He sure was a good boy. i really loved him.
I've been working very hard on the one woman musical show I'm writing. The "book" should be done in a week or two. I've got lots of ideas for the music, but that will take some time. i think we are going to try to sell the idea based on the book and then finish the music. i can't wait to be able to tell all!
Speaking of telling all, i guess Disney let the cat out of the bag. The project the Go-Go's have been writing for is The Po-Go's. It's going to be an all girl group ages 9 to 13. They'll do our hits and new songs we are writing for them. And we'll be producing them too. Right now it's just an album project, but if it goes well it could turn into a TV show or a movie or who knows what! We get to audition and choose the girls. i really hope we can find girls who are musicians, i have no idea what's out there. I know some fans have expressed their dissatisfaction about the band doing this. i feel like it's such a joy to do something new, something different. I love kids and this is as close as i'll ever get to having any of my own, so i hope people don't begrudge us this interesting and fun opportunity.
The Oscars were busy. i went to an Oscars suite the day before. That's where people give stuff to celebs for the marketing value. I felt like a total princess and got a facial, and my makeup done, and a beautiful sweater from the designer Sophia Swire and my nails done and a bunch of other stuff too. Yay, swag!!!!!!! That's the best part about being a bit famous, when you have opportunities like that.
I went to a post-show Oscars party benefitting Children Uniting Nations. It's such a great organization and it was a nice event. Chaka Khan performed! That was something.
Okay, I've got to get back to work. Too much to do and not enough time!
Love,
Jane

Good thing I'm a recovering Catholic, and my guilt was really building up inside about not posting an entry for ages. I had to write before the guilt consumed me!! haha
So France was brilliant, as you Brits say. Gina went too. Belinda lives in the South up in the hills, which are strangely reminiscent of the hills in So-Cal, especially around Malibu Canyon. It was a really odd mixture of people there, from jet-set types to farmers. The big surprise was that it is much much colder there than LA and I about froze my bootie off. Every day we worked about half the day writing and recording songs, and then Babe would take us on adventures. We went to an old church where they have the skull of Mary Magdalene-ooh creepy! And we went to a winery and annoyed the lady there by tasting everything but buying just one bottle- ooh, snippy French madame! We went to Italy for lunch- it's about like driving to Bakersfield from here, but considerably more glamorous! The Italian shopkeepers follow you around like you're a common criminal- maybe I looked like one? One night we went to Monaco, I kept thinking I was going to run into James Bond any second. And Babe is an amazing cook, she made us so much good food I'm sure I gained 5 pounds! We hiked around a (French) lake, went to a (French) flea market, to some thrift stores where i scored some wonderful treasures for almost nothing. Babe says it's because the French don't appreciate kitsch like we Americans do. I attended a yoga class in French, that was pretty funny, me trying to figure out what was going on without falling over and cracking my skull! We went out to several wonderful dinners and I noticed it's very cheap to drink there, but food is expensive!!
Anyway, I had a really fantastic time. It's the first time I've been to Europe where I wasn't working every second.
When I got back to LA my old dog Roy was not doing well. His back legs have always been bad, and now he was not even able to get up and walk around. i took him into the vet thinking it was time for him to be put to sleep, but I couldn't make myself go through with it. So the vet gave him a steroid shot and sent him home. He started feeling better and we've started going back to the doggy chiropractor again and he is doing great. I put down carpet runners all over the house so he would not be scrambling on the slippery wood floors and now he is much happier. I am too!

Three days after returning home I flew to New Jersey to appear at the Chiller Theater show. It's a place where you can meet different celebs and get photos and autographs and stuff. We filmed the whole weekend because I find the entire phenomenon very interesting. I had a great time. I got to hang out with Nichel Nichols, who played UHURA on original Star Trek. She was a blast and a real inspiration.
I also met some hotties from the Star Wars movies, Darth Maul and Boba Fett. Okay i'm a geek for calling them by their character names but too bad! So I enjoyed the weekend, and it was cool to meet so many nice fun people, both celebs and fans.

When I got back to town i helped my dad who had eye surgery and needed transportation. That was good because I got to hang out with my mom, who is in slightly better spirits. I did a taped interview for yet another TV show for VH1 called "25 Best Moments of Celebreality". It turned out to be me just commenting on The Surreal Life, My Fair Brady, and other VH1 shows. i felt kind of silly rehashing old news, but I guess they think people are still interested so who am I to say??

Believe it or not, i went to a Super Bowl party yesterday and even watched the game! I had set up a betting pool, so i was much more motivated to see what the score was! For some reason, I now understand the game; I always refused to learn how it was played in the past. Not that I'm going to turn into a football fan or anything, but it was nice to not feel so clueless for once.
So that's me all caught up now.
Love,
Miss Jane

Brand New Year

1/12/2006

Thank you, Baub, for shaming me into writing a new journal entry!
I STILL don't understand why I can't have a personal assistant (slave) to do everything for me so I can lounge about my fabulous Hollywood Manse eating bonbons. But, sadly, in the real world, if I don't write it, it don't get done.
Speaking of getting things done, anyone who has an order in will be relieved to know I'll be sending them out before I leave for France tomorrow. Woohoo! Fancypants France, here I come!
Christmas was bittersweet- I was so happy to see my whole family, but sad to know it may be the last time because of my mom. My brother Andy has three gorgeous little kids (Elena, Karina & Ko) who made opening presents so much fun. And my sister Meg gave me a plane ticket to Portland so I can go visit her!
After Christmas I went up to the mountains to stay in a cabin owned by friends. I brought Orbit & Peanut and it was so fun. They loved the over-heated house and the multitude of laps to sit on!
New Year's Eve I went to a local French restaurant whose clientele is a weird mix of old people and gay guys!! It was so festive, they had a lady playing accordian and everyone was singing. Then I went to a club and saw Donita Sparks' new band play. You may remember she is my friend from the great all-girl band of the 90's, L7. It was rockin'! Then somehow half the people at the club ended up coming back to my house where we partied till the wee hours of the morning.
Considering New Year's Eve is one of my least favorite holidays (I always expect too much) it turned out great!

Last weekend THE DOWNTOWN SENSATION went to Vegas to play for XM Satellite Radio. It was nervewracking playing at 10:00 AM but the XM people were so nice and fun, it worked out fine. That night I attended an XM dinner party with many illustrious guests, including Quincy Jones & Herbie Hancock. I got to chat with Quincy a bit about my new jazz band and my love of Ella Fitzgerald and Dinah Washington, among others. And I really really had too too much wine!

On Monday night, The Supper Club had a meeting. Supper Club is something I created with friends. We get together about once a month at a different restaurant each time, and just...eat. Our motto (ala Fight Club) is "I want you to feed me as hard as you can." haha
Anyway, we had Chinese and then went to that Coldstone ice cream place where some members ate some crazy concoctions. I'm above all that...i held out till we saw an eclaire shop and had a chocolate eclair for dessert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've started work on the musical I'm writing. It is so exciting, I can't wait to be able to tell more!!

Those of you who heard I'm going to the Chiller Theater autograph convention, yes, it is true. I'm shooting a documentary and will be going to many of those conventions this year.

There's all kinds of exciting stuff in store for 2006. It's the 25th anniversary of BEAUTY AND THE BEAT, so look for the Go-Go's playing a bit more than usual this year.
Happy new year everyone!
Love,
Jane

Holiday Ho-down

12/20/2005

Howdy ho everyone!

Is everybody in good holiday spirits? I am, because I just finished shopping and wrapping a few minutes ago. Phewww, that was something!

All my friends are getting calendars, so at least that part was easy!

My favorite thing is shopping for my littlest nieces and nephew, Elena, Karina & Ko. I'm lucky my brothers and sisters are babymakers, because I don't think Christmas would be so hot without kids around to liven things up.

I'm terrible to shop for for presents because I can never figure out what I want.

We are doing Christmas at my parents' house, but my sister Meg is taking over for Mom since she's not well. Meg is a whiz at cooking and everything else for that matter, so I am confident all will be well.

I've been to quite a few holiday parties and had some fun. I made myself get a tree this year and decorate it because I knew if I did I would probably not get the holiday blues. It works too, everytime I start feeling down I plug in the lights and can't help but feel happy.

Some new projects have come up for me that I'm pretty excited about. I have been asked to write a musical by a Broadway writer/producer. i wish I could tell you the theme, but it is a secret for now! We should be announcing it publicly by March. I am really stoked about it cuz it's a genius idea and this guy is the real deal.

I also have been asked to sing a whole album of original Christmas songs, to be released Christmas 2006. The songs are in a style very dear to my heart, similar to The Downtown Sensation. I've never done a project where I just got to be the singer and think it will be a blast.

I wrote the theme song to the new movie LIVE FREAKY! DIE FREAKY! with my friends Jen Johnson & Kim Chi and we have been asked to perform live at the premiere. Our band is called THE SCARY NATION (brownie points to anyone who gets the pop culture reference) and if all goes to plan will be playing live in late January!!

The Downtown Sensation have been asked to perform at the CES Convention in Las Vegas on January 7 for XM Satellite Radio. The Consumer Electronics Show is one of the biggest conventions in the country and is a ton of fun if you like tvs, stereos, or any other kind of consumer gadgets.

i'm still working on the top secret Go-Go's project and it's going great. i'll be visiting Belinda in France in January to work on it more.

I hope everyone who ordered a calendar is happy with it.

And I wish everyone a very happy and safe holiday season!

Love,
Jane

Discarded Stars Like Worn Out Cars

12/6/2005

Can you believe this year is about done already? I can't. Seems like I was just getting used to it being 2005 and now it's finished. Well, it certainly has been busy, with lots of ups and downs. These past few weeks have been pretty interesting. I went up to Portland Oregon for Thanksgiving. My sister Meg moved up there last year and we decided to do Thanksgiving there this year. Oh my god it's bloody cold there!!!!
It felt like England. But it was great to hang out with my family. Meg has a new dog named Yoda, who is part Boston Terrier and part French Bull dog. He is an absolute terror, and I spent most of my time there with him attached to my arm, gnawing on it like I was his own personal chew toy. Good thing he's so cute or it would get tiresome! It was neat to see my nieces and nephews who are growing up alarmingly fast.
The following week I had some interesting appointments. I started taking my dog Roy to a chiropractor because his back legs aren't working so well anymore. I hope it is going to help him. I know I've had really good luck with my messed up arms and hands (from playing guitar) going to my chiro, so I figured I'd give it a go w Roy.
Then my next novel appointment was meeting with the Historical Buildings Society who are going to help make my house some kind of monument. It is a really great 1930's house in original condition designed by an important LA architect. I guess it'll be like living in a museum or something? Trying to furnish it correctly has been a very fun challenge, because I feel a lot of pressure to remain true to the style and era. It's a lot of fun too and I spend waaay too much time on treasure hunts looking for cool stuff!
I hired new agents last week so I went to lunch with them. That's always pretty exciting cuz you get to go somewhere fancy and be told how fabulous you are!!!! Temporarily good for the ego I s'pose! I'm hoping these new people will help me get some work, as I hate downtime and prefer to be working all the time.
I went to the Hollywood Christmas Parade, which has to be one of the saddest things ever. I can't believe they can't make that event better, more exciting, and get bigger stars to participate. I mean, I had a great time because I was just making fun of it, and bar -hopping my way across Hollywood at the same time. But it looks more like something you'd see in Nebraska than in Tinseltown!! The highpoint was when we reached the very beginning of the parade route at Hollywood & Highland and the Scientologists had set up this winter wonderland display you could take pictures in. I got behind the metal railed fence and pretended I was being held prisoner by them. I know, real mature.
This past Saturday I went to the VH1 Big in 05 Awards Show just for the fun of it. It was pretty crazy, I enjoyed all the celeb-spotting. Bobby Brown actually ran up to me and told me he loved me, though I honestly believe he didn't actually know who I was. Yup, that's what it's like to be a Super Star like me!!!!! The other funny thing was that I got seated next to Marty, the runner-up in the Rock Star INXS reality tv show that my friends and I were seriously obsessed with.

The best part though was the party tent, where there were endless amounts of food and free cocktails. They had these little bowls of mac and cheese that were like the best thing I've ever tasted. I think I ate ten bowls.

There are a bunch of new photos in the Gallery so check it out.

Finally, I have made a calendar of the pin-up photos of me that is really wonderful. It's full color on heavy stock, 11" X 17". It includes one brand new super sexy photo you can't see or get anywhere else.
We are selling them for a very limited amount of time so I suggest you buy one now if you are interested because they won't be available soon. Ho ho ho! Happy Holidays y'all!

Trannylicious!

11/21/2005

I just got back from San Francisco where I had a fabulous weekend attending and judging the annual Miss Trannyshack Pageant. It was an exciting event with over 1700 people attending. Miss Gina Schock was also one of the judges and we had a great fun night.

There were 7 performers, all of whom were really entertaining. My personal favorite was Faux Pas, who did an act involving fire, piercing, suspension and people on stilts!!! It was insane. She had on this huge white dress made of a parachute, and halfway through her act it suddenly blew up like a balloon, billowing about twenty feet around her. Then she slowly rose into the air and the white dress dropped off revealing a gorgeous red corset outfit. She was being suspended by hooks in her back, it was gnarly looking, but beautiful too. There was this big metal tower sculpture behind her that had flames all over it and she was hanging from that, spinning around. I think it was a Sinead O'Connnor song she performed to. It was the most incredible act I can ever remember witnessing.

The winner of the pageant was Coco Canal who did a disco number, complete with dancers while pregnant and wearing a catholic schoolgirl uniform. In the end the "baby" popped out and it was truly silly and fun. I'm told the song she danced to was by Christina Aguilara, but I was unfamiliar with it.

There was also a performer called RAndy, who was a man pretending to be a woman pretending to be a man. Very confusing!!! He had a whole troup of "boys" all with fake moustaches and toupees and it was hilarious.

The highlight of the week before that was going to see the Rolling Stones at the Hollywood Bowl. The audience was a crazy mixture of ages and every song they played was a masterpiece. It is truly a strange time to be living in, when the best rock band out there is a group of guys in their 60's! It makes me feel not so bad about being...you know... forty-something!!

Start Spreadin' The News

11/6/2005

Well I am happy to report I am home safe and sound from New York. The Go-Go's played a show there for Nordstrom, the department store who have a new campaign involving us. They took one of our songs ("Our Lips Are Sealed" and had it remixed by Fat Boy Slim. Then they shot video footage of girls wearing their clothing and somehow inserted it into the original video of us. We got to see the "new" video at the party and it was pretty amazing! The funny thing to me though, is that unless you're a pretty big fan, I don't think anyone watching it will really get what is going on. Oh well, it is a neat campaign and I'm excited that young people will be hearing our song at Nordy's. I love Nordy's! So we did a concert for them in New York and after that had a few days to run around the city having fun. I got to see "Ground Zero" (sad) and visit the legendary punk club CBGB (sad too because they are closing down soon). I also went to a show at Madison Square Garden and found it almost impossible to believe that we (the Go-Go's) actually played there!!!! I visited the still-great punk clothes store Trash & Vaudville and got some cool new threads. And tried some great restaurants. My favorite was The Spice Market which was yum and gorgeous too.
Anyway, previous to New York were some other fun nights. I went to The Echo to see The Adolescents play with the newly-reformed Germs. Frank Agnew is a dear friend and the genius guitar player of The Adolescents. He plays on my records and demos too so it was good to go out and cheer for him. His sexy wife Libby was there too.
I went to a great costume party on Saturday the 29th. No one was allowed in without a costume and there were some brilliant ones. Some of my favorites were my friend Nikki as Prince (it's the first time I ever found Prince hot-hehe), Colette as an 80's coke-whore (white spandex pants, legwarmers, etc), the Echo Park Realtor (who had the total outfit including big hair and hat and kept pushing a one bedroom 2.5 million dollar fixer on people!), King Butt (King Tutt but w a gigantic booty), and of course me as Marie Callender Antoinette trying to navigate my way through tight spaces in my pie-tin skirt. It was a laugh riot.
On Halloween-proper I went to West Hollywood and was named Honorary Mayor for the night. That was really hectic, but I was into being the Mayor even if it was fake. I hear that 400,000 people showed up for that. My outfit was so big (Marie Callender Antoinette again) that I couldn't fit in the limo they had for me so we had to walk everywhere, which was just as well because there were so many great costumes to look at. I hung out w my friends Carlos & Shelley who were dressed as Darth Vader and Elvira, and between the three of us we took up the width of the street. REALLY BIG costumes!
Love,
Jane

Miss American Pie

10/21/2005

I don't really have a whole lot to say since the last entry. I've been dealing with some family stuff; My mom is very ill and we are all so worried. (Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers.)

I've been keeping busy writing with KV & Char which is always fun. And now that I have learned how to use GARAGEBAND I can record our songs as we think of them. In case you missed my earlier diary entry, GARAGEBAND is a computer program that lets you make home music demos on your Mac. It is sort of like PRO-TOOLS, which is more or less the industry standard, except it's totally dumbed-down, so that people like me, who are afraid of technology, can use it. Every day I learn a little more, and I hope to get really slick at it soon.

I'm looking forward to next weekend and all the Halloween parties. I have a great costume idea. I'm going to go as Marie Calendar Antoinette. Since I already spent money on the Marie Antoinette wig, I figure I'll use it again. I got a great dress that I am going to build a giant skirt of pie-tins over. And my friend Willy is going to help me make a papier-mache slice of pie to perch in the wig. I may carry aerosol cans of whipped cream to spray at people if I am feeling extra evil.

In a few days Willy & I are going to go to the Frederick's of Hollywood annual fashion show and party. We went last year and it is the funnest event! They give good gift baskets too. And they serve endless amounts of champagne!

The day after Halloween I am flying to New York with the Go-Go's. I haven't been to NY since before 9/11 and I am so looking forward to it. I have many fond memories of the city, especially from when the Go-Go's were there recording our first record BEAUTY AND THE BEAT.
That's all for now!

What A Sensation!

10/14/2005

I feel so accomplished right now! We have finished our first DOWNTOWN SENSATION recording. We recorded three songs: "THIRTEEN MEN", "I'LL NEVER SAY 'NEVER AGAIN' AGAIN", and "TREAT ME ROUGH".
The songs sound cool and I'm so proud of my new band. It was a pretty crazy process trying to get these songs done, because of trying to coordinate so many different schedules and get time in the studio I like, which is super-busy all the time. Anyway, I'm going to try to hook up with ITunes and maybe I'll be able to put the songs on this website.
Meanwhile, I had the BOWLING FOR BOOBIES charity event last week. That was crazy fun and served to remind me once more how much I suck at bowling! $15000 were raised that night and my team won the prize for most money collected (thanks to crazy Lady Blue who is a real pitbull when it comes to getting pledges!). Anyway, we had a group of Go-Go's fans come and lend their support and we had a killer good time!
I got to be co-host for the week on a great new talkshow called QUEEREDGE on the new gay television network QTN. My friend Jack E Jett is the host and he invited me. It was like no talkshow I've ever seen. Lots of foul language and racy subject matter- just how I like it!!!
The most exciting moment was when THE DOWNTOWN SENSATION got to perform-our first public performance on LIVE television to boot! I thought I was gonna barf it was so nervewracking. I got a lot of love from the audience though, which included my parents, friends and fans. So hopefully we sounded okay, I know my voice was probably wobbly with fear!!
On Wednesday I spent the day downtown at the animal shelter shooting public service announcements about spaying, neutering, and adopting pets. I was very happy to do that for the poor wee little critters. I'll say it again, "PLEASE spay or neuter your pets, and when it's time to make an addition to your family, please adopt from your local shelter!"
Bi 4 now!

New photos in gallery!

10/5/2005

We put up a bunch of brand new photos in the gallery section. Check it out! Me performing with The Gay-Gays, me at the My Fair Brady premiere and me as Marie Antoinette and MC for the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Hollywood Bowl.

From The Mountains To The Prairie

10/4/2005

Since last I wrote, I've been working alot and playing very little, but it's all been fun. My new band, THE DOWNTOWN SENSATION, has been in the studio recording our first demo. It should be done soon, and we will use it to try to get gigs. What I really want to do is play on gay cruises so that will be our main target at first. We may do some local shows at select clubs just to get used to performing together, but I really want to hit the High Seas!!!
I've also been working with the Go-Go's on a top secret project that we hope to be able to announce very very soon. It is always great getting together with the girls, easy, comfortable, and familiar!
Over the weekend I went out to the desert (okay, this is my third time to the desert in a month...I don't even like the desert...well maybe I do!) to go to an old west town called Pioneer Town. I guess they used to shoot western movies there and the place is still intact. In fact, many of the buildings have been turned into businesses and private homes. I went to this crazy honkytonk place where first we ate barbeque while listening to a country western band. I think most country western music is crap, I'm a real traditionalist about it, but these guys were great. They had a pedal steel player that was smokin'! Anyway, the real reason I went was to see a band called THE EARTHLINGS. They played at around midnight and they were so good!! Really really fun. Their bass player reminded me of Char from punk days. She had the same stance and hairdo.
Anyway, I stayed at this old west motel and brought the doggies and had a great weekend!
This week is the Bowling For Boobies benefit which I hope lots of you will attend. I also will be mixing the demo I've been working on, and working with the girls some more.
I found out I'm going to be Honorary Mayor of West Hollywood and they are going to give me the key to the city on Halloween. I'd better come up with a good costume!

Head Like A Whole Lotta Fun

9/23/2005

Well, it's already time for another fun-filled weekend so I thought I'd update you on last weekend. I went w a friend to Arizona to hang out with the bands on the Nine Inch Nails tour. There are three bands playing the tour, AUTOLUX, QUEENS OF THE STONEAGE, and of course, NINE INCH NAILS. Wow, what a great show. NIN are absolutely riveting live, and also very nice lads in person! I got treated like a queen all weekend. We spent 1 night in Tucson where we ended up going to a local Roller Derby championship. That was crazy good fun, and it was awesome to see chicks kicking ass! The team I rooted for was The Vice Squad and they ended up winning. I love Tucson because it has a real small-town feel and they have preserved most of the old buildings. Spent two nights in Phoenix at the super-luxurious BILTMORE Hotel, which was built by Frank Lloyd Wright. What a place! They've made it bigger and bigger over the years, but still kept to his original character and feel. There are EIGHT swimming pools there!! The pest control company Orkin was having a convention at the hotel and we kept calling all the employees The Orkins, like they were from another planet, which frankly, they did seem like. I know, my maturity is astounding.
On a work note, THE DOWNTOWN SENSATION have started rehearsals and we will be recording this weekend! Three songs. I'm super excited.
Tata for now,
JW

JAZZ SINGERS AND PAINTED LADIES

9/16/2005

Hi,
Yikes, I haven't had a second to breathe, but wanted to do a quick update on my life. I went to an underground punk club downtown last week and saw this crazy all-girl noise band from Japan. They were doing a couch-tour of America (sleeping on people's floors) so invited them to stay with me since I have lots of room. They were so cute and nice. didn't speak English though!!
I did an evening at a local radio station, Indie 103.1 to raise money for the Katrina victims. It's always fun to go on the air there, but I have to try so hard not to swear, since I am a total potty mouth.
On Sunday there was a premiere party for Chris Knight and Adrianne Curry's new show MY FAIR BRADY. I went w some friends and was horrified when they ran the show and I turned out to be the center of the drama. Ugh. Hated that! Oh well, that's what I get for being a boozy psuedo-slut!!!!!!
The next morning I did a crazy photo shoot orchestrated by my dear friend John Stapleton who is a makeup artist and a writer. Anyway, instead of wearing clothes he PAINTED a dress on me. The pictures look so whack! I'll try to get some on this site soon. Then the next day I did a tv show for VH1 called I LOVE TOYS. They had different people (me included) commenting on a bunch of toys and they are going to rank them. It was fun, and interesting remembering my childhood. Talked about a lot of things I haven't thought of in decades!! Then Kathy Valentine's band played and I went see that. They were great! Char was there too. I've also been rehearsing with The Downtown Sensation, we're going in the studio next week. And I learned how to use GARAGEBAND, which is a computer program to do home recordings. So I've been writing and recording up a storm. It's amazing, you can sit there and time flies so quickly, all of the sudden twelve hours have gone by.
Some people have been complaining already on the message boards that I don't answer messages or I don't care about them. I am not going to promise to ever answer anything, I'm sorry!! My responsibility is to my art my work and my life. I hope everyone can understand or at least respect that!
Big kiss,
Jane

Don't Dream It, Be It

9/6/2005

Wow, what a weekend!! Saturday night I went to a birthday party in East LA. The theme was Raiders (you know, the football team) and I am so NOT Sporty Spice! Too cheap to go buy Raiders merch, I concocted an outfit out of a skintight black and silver skirt, silver shoes and a black and silver wig. I was going as the date of a fellow, so I didn't actually know anybody at the party, so it was kinda neat to be completely incognito. It was a Mexican family and there were probably 40 people there ranging from about 2 years old to about 90. Amazing homecooked Mexican food from the birthday boy's mom who spoke no English. The funniest part of the night was when the DJ put on a Spanish language version of "Achy Breaky Heart" and the entire party got up and did that dance that goes to the song. I was blown away! Who knew???? Apparently bad taste transcends all cultures!
Then Sunday night I went with a pack of friends to the Hollywood Bowl and saw BRIAN WILSON play. It was so good. What a songwriter!!! We had a huge picnic and waaaay too much wine, it was the best!
Monday I returned to the Hollywood Bowl to MC the 30th anniversary party of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. It was pretty daunting, I had crazy costumes to get in and out of and wigs and way too many things to remember to talk about onstage. The show opened with Louis XIV, a rock band. I announced them in a Marie Antoinette dress and wig, both of which were gigantic. I was like 4 feet wide because of the skirt and seven feet tall because of the wig and platform shoes!! I got to sing their hit "Finding Out True Love Is Blind" with them (doing backup vocals). It was good fun. Then I came back out to do the Rocky pre-show warmup. My Marie dress was ripped off of me to reveal a corset and fishnets outfit, which was very me, of course, but very Rocky too!!
I had to talk a lot about the history of the movie and the phenomenon of the live-performance-in-front-of-the-film thing. I had to explain how the audience were to participate, judge a costume contest with a gajillion contestants (jeez I thought that would never end!!) and lead the audience in the Rocky pledge. I myself was a Rocky virgin so it was super cool to finally see what it's all about. I had a great time and hope those of you that attended did too!!

Goin' to a Gay Gay!

8/29/2005

This weekend was waaay too much fun. It all started Friday night when some friends surprised me with a dinner at an authentic Lebanese restaurant. (I am of Lebanese descent on my mom's side.) It was wild; there were about 200 courses, and a crazy Arabic band with this guy that looked like Jose Conseco on tabla drum, and belly dancers (okay, they looked more like strippers, but whatever, it was cool) and a big hookah pipe at the table that we were puffing out of, between pigging out on the amazing food.
Saturday I spent picking up my glamorous 1920's living room set that I found online. It looks perfect in my new place and my house is really starting to come together. Saturday night I went to Kathy Griffin's for a dinner party. I worship her; she is so funny and smart and fun. I brought two bottles of really expensive wine but almost no one there drank, so sadly, I had to consume most of it myself! hehe
In that state, I arrived at The Gauntlet (a gay bar) just in time to see the fabulous Gay-Gays perform. They were missing their "Jane" so I got up and jammed on a few numbers with them. It was cool! Looking out at a packed bar full of bears and leather daddies rocking out to Go-Go's music was an experience I'll not soon forget. I'll post photos from The Gauntlet so check the gallery.
Sunday I went with a pack of friends to Sunset Junction, a yearly street fair in the Silver Lake/ Hollywood area that is always a hoot. We saw The Weirdos, my favorite LA band from punk rock days, and a new band called The Eagles of Death Metal that were hysterical. Check on the gallery page for a photo of me with Donita Sparks (awesome girl guitarist) at the Junction. Her new project, The Donita Sparks Band, is totally rockin' so go see them when you can!

Operation Desert Storm

8/24/2005

Hi!!
Just got home from my trip to the desert where I spent the entire trip acting silly. I am now officially White Trash as I took my new beebee gun and shot at beer cans while swilling booze wearing a trucker's cap. I know, I'm a real classy broad. I also sunbathed under a hot pink parasol and took about 5 naps a day. My little dogs Orbit and Peanut came with and they loved the boiling hot weather. They too sunbathed and also chased flies and horned toads (hey, whatever floats your boat!). It was ridiculously hot and dusty there so I was in and out of the pool the whole time. One night, the inn had a hula dancer as the evening's entertainment! Another night there was a flamenco guitar player who looked startlingly like Chuck Norris. I kept expecting him to bust out the karate moves!! I hate to say it, but the whole trip was...SURREAL.
I've posted photos of this trip in the gallery, check em out!

Gentlemen, Start Your Engines

8/18/2005

I have been trying to get my act together and update my website since the
beginning of this year (2005)! Nice to know I'm just as good at
procrastinating as the next guy. I was sure when The Surreal Life started
airing I'd be inundated with millions of fan letters begging for a new
website. haha
Well now that the Surreal hoopla is over and done with I am finally putting
the site up. So much for strategic timing!
Let me thank Andy Farrell who built the site for me, and BJ Papas who took my new pin-up girl photos and Jason Schmidt who made me look the best I possibly could!
After a super busy year last year, this year has been pretty mellow. I've
gotten a chance to deal with my personal life mostly, and have moved into a
beautiful new house. It's 1930's art deco and I am madly in love with it.
It looks like a movie star should live in it, and I really should only be
allowed to wear bias-cut, creme-colored, satin gowns while at home. Yeah
right! My old house was Spanish and so none of my furniture matched this
place, and I have been busy combing the flea markets for deco furniture.
Very hard to find and expensive too! But I love a good (furniture) hunt.
I am enjoying living in the States again after three years in Central
America (Costa Rica & Panama).
I just returned from a week-long trip to Panama where I visited my property
down there. I have a really amazing piece of forest way up in the mountains
and it is just beautiful. I had lots of legal and business stuff to attend
to down there and ran myself ragged, but it is still always a thrill to be
in that part of the world, which looks like the Swiss Alps...if the Swiss
Alps had monkeys in the trees!
Next week I am going out to the Joshua Tree desert with a friend to relax
and hang out. To be honest, i'm not really a desert-y person, but it's
close and easy. I haven't gone somewhere strictly to relax in years and
need to decompress from all this not-working I've been doing!!
We had a death in our little family recently. Ebi, sister to my Orbit, was
killed when she got under the fence of my new place and was attacked by big
dogs. She was such a good little dog and I really miss her.
Lately, I find myself going out to clubs a lot more and am really enjoying
it. I saw Devo play a few weeks ago and they were fantastic!! The crowd
was going crazy, as was I. You should see them if you can.
Well, that's my current news, more to come as it occurs.
Thank you for visiting my website. Please join the message board and chat
with other like-minded Janiacs!
Love,
Jane
